1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Lines, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country to use online services without parental consent, if higher) to use Lines. By registering, you confirm the date of birth and other information you provide is accurate.

3. Your account

• You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
• One account per person. Impersonating another person or organization isn't allowed.
• Tell us right away at support@linesapp.in if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you post. Your Lines, images, and profile content are yours. By posting, you grant Lines a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely to operate and provide the app (for example, showing your Lines to your followers, or a link preview card generated from a URL you posted).

You're solely responsible for what you post. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to post or do any of the following on Lines:

• Spam: repetitive, unsolicited, or bulk content
• Fake information: deliberately misleading claims presented as fact
• Sexual content involving minors, or non-consensual sexual content
• Fraud or scams: attempts to deceive others for financial or personal gain
• Harassment: targeted abuse, threats, or bullying of another person
• Hate speech: content that attacks people based on protected characteristics like race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability
• Violence: content that threatens, incites, or glorifies violence
• Anything illegal under the laws that apply to you
• Attempting to access another user's account, or interfering with the app's normal operation (scraping, reverse engineering, automated abuse)

6. Moderation and enforcement

We review reports filed by users and may, at our discretion:

• Warn the author of a post
• Remove a post
• Suspend or permanently ban an account

We aim to be fair and consistent, but moderation decisions are made by our team's judgment against these Terms, not an automated or purely mechanical process.

7. Official and verified accounts

A blue checkmark ("verified") can be self-claimed by accounts that meet our eligibility requirements in Settings, then Profile Verification. A separate "official" badge is granted only by our team to institutional or civic accounts, and is never self-claimable.

8. Third-party links

Lines may show a preview card for links you or others post, pulled automatically from the linked page's own public metadata. We don't control, and aren't responsible for, the content of external sites you navigate to from the app.

9. Our intellectual property

The Lines name, logo, and app design are our property. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to use our branding except to identify the app itself (for example, sharing a link to a post).

10. Termination

You can deactivate or permanently delete your account at any time. See deactivation and deletion. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, at our discretion, with or without notice depending on severity.

11. Disclaimers

Lines is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content posted by other users is accurate, safe, or lawful.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lines and its team aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, or content posted by other users.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION]. Fill in once your jurisdiction and entity are finalized.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continuing to use Lines after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
