Deactivate Your Account
Read this before deactivating. It works differently from similar features on other apps.
Deactivating disables your login. It does not hide your content. Your existing Lines, profile, and replies stay visible to other users, exactly as they are now. Deactivating only stops you from signing back in. If you want your content gone too, see deleting your account instead.
How to deactivate your account
- Open the Lines app and log in.
- Go to Profile, then Settings, then Account Status.
- Scroll to the Danger Zone and tap Deactivate Account.
- Confirm. You'll be signed out right away.
What happens next
- You're immediately logged out of the app.
- You will not be able to sign back in yourself. Attempting to log in returns "This account has been disabled."
- Your profile, posts, replies, and relines remain visible to other users on Lines, unchanged.
- Nothing is deleted. Your data stays exactly as it was.
Reactivating
There's currently no self-service way to reactivate a deactivated account from within the app. To reactivate, email support@linesapp.in from the email address on the account, and we'll turn it back on for you.
Not what you wanted?
If you're looking to actually remove your content and personal data, not just log out, see Delete Your Account. That action is permanent and cannot be undone, but it does remove your Lines and profile from the app.
