Child Safety Standards
Last updated: [DATE]. This page applies to Lines (Android package app.lines.in), published on Google Play by [DEVELOPER NAME AS SHOWN ON PLAY STORE LISTING].
1. Our policy
Lines has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), in any form, anywhere on our platform. This applies to every account on Lines, including verified and official accounts, with no exceptions.
2. What we prohibit
The following are never allowed on Lines, and result in immediate content removal and account action:
- Any image, video, text, or link depicting, describing, or promoting the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor
- Sexualization of a minor in any context, including drawn, animated, or computer-generated depictions
- Grooming behavior, or attempts to solicit sexual content or contact with a minor
- Sextortion or threats to expose a minor's private content
- Links, references, or directions to off-platform CSAM, or attempts to trade or normalize it
- Accounts created to endanger, exploit, or make contact with minors for a sexual purpose
These standards are part of, and enforced under, our public Terms and Conditions.
3. How we prevent and respond
Every Line (post) on the app can be reported by any user, for any reason, directly from the post. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team, not resolved automatically. Once we have actual knowledge of CSAE or CSAM on Lines, we act on it, which can include:
- Immediate removal of the content
- Permanent suspension of the account responsible
- Preservation of relevant records to support a law enforcement referral
- Reporting to the appropriate authorities, as described below
4. How to report CSAE
If you see anything on Lines that concerns you, report it right away:
- Open the post, tap the ••• (more options) icon, and tap Report. Full steps are on our Help page.
- For anything involving a child's safety, urgent reports, or anything you don't want to wait on a review queue for, email support@linesapp.in directly with as much detail as you can safely provide (a link to the content, the account involved, and what you saw).
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first, before reporting to us.
5. Law enforcement cooperation
We comply with applicable child safety laws, including reporting confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the equivalent authority for the jurisdiction involved, and we cooperate with law enforcement investigations into CSAE on our platform.
6. Designated point of contact
